Berkeley goes live in Spring 2004 with e-Tax payment application.

Berkeley County has gone live with the EGS e-Tax payment application. The EGS e-Tax Payment application is part of our new suite of products within our latest Version. The latest version is written completely in Java, which has made EGS more flexible with various technologies and has allowed EGS to reduce license costs. Berkeley currently has EGS Real Property installed and with the new venture with on-line tax payments it further demonstrates the commitment by EGS to evolving the EGS Product suite for both current and new customers.

Based on the leadership of Carole Grant, Berkeley's Technology Director, the county will be able to allow the EGS e-Tax Payment technology to minimize workloads for tax payments, call volumes, bank reconciliation times, and mail processing. Please visit them at Berkeley e-Tax
