The Electronic Government Solutions (EGS) Property product has been developed for both the public and private sector to view assessor information, deeds and mortgages information and GIS data from an AS/400 iSeries or NT environment via the Internet. Previously, users who wanted information regarding property such as tax history, property assessments, fair market value or land schematics had the time consuming task of visiting multiple locations and sorting through paperwork. With EGS-Property, both the general public and government employees will be able to search by name, address or parcel number and view the information via Internet browser without waiting in line and experiencing lengthy turn-around time.
How does EGS-Property Work?
Currently, all assessor information, deeds and mortgage information and GIS data reside on either the AS/400 iSeries or NT platform. EGS-Property will query data from either platform based upon the end user’s request. The results of the query will then be presented in a graphical real-time interface via a browser. The option to view assessor information only, GIS information only or a combination of the two is available for added convenience. Once the desired record has been selected, the appropriate information will be served from the AS/400 iSeries or NT environment through the web and displayed in a GUI format. The software will integrate with any AS/400 iSeries database as well as GIS software such as ESRI’s ArcIMS. This entire process can be done from the convenience of your home or office.
